Bursera graveolens, commonly known as Palo Santo (“holy wood”), is a tree native to the coastal dry forests of Ecuador and part of the Burseraceae family, which also includes frankincense and myrrh.

For generations, Palo Santo has been valued for its distinctive aroma and its role in simple, intentional rituals connected to presence and well-being. The aged heartwood is naturally rich in aromatic compounds such as limonene and α-terpineol, which give Palo Santo its characteristic warm, woody and lightly citrus scent.
