Description

Bursera graveolens, known in Spanish as Palo Santo ("holy wood") is a tree that inhabits the coast of Ecuador. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh. It is widely used in folk medicine. Aged heartwood is rich in terpenes such as limonene and α-terpineol.

Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is an aromatic wood; Its smoke is used as a repellent to keep off mosquitoes, ants and other insects. It also cleans and helps to remove the bad energy from the home, keep away evil spirits, induces meditation and spiritual search. The scent of Palo Santo is extremely soothing and transmits a powerful energy.

How do you use Palo santo sticks?

- For the flu, cough, asthma: Prepare tea or tisane; Infusions: Cut 1 stick in half, boil 1 half fifteen minutes, filter and drink with sugar or honey at night. A bag of 10 sticks can be used to prepare 30 cups of tea.

- Mosquito repellent: Burn up a palo santo incense stick to keep off the mosquitoes.

- Meditation and spiritual search: Burn up 1 stick in the incense burner.

- To clean and remove the bad energy from home: Light up a stick, hold it with your hand and walk around the area you want to remove the bad energy from.

I purchased several times.

I purchased several times.
Recently, Palo Santo cutting methods are confused with hatchets and machines. I want only a hatchet. Machines lose holiness.

Thanks for your comments.

Our goal is to protect the palosanto tree, and not to waste anything out of it (keep in mind we need a tree that dies by itself after 30 years, and then lays on the ground for 2-4 years prior we can use it). Machete cuts there are a lot of waste, a lot of labor accidents, cuts, injuries, etc.

Holiness is lost when we disrespect palo santo. All our efforts are devoted to offer you ecofriendly and sustainable produced palo santo, with the wonderful characteristic woodsy citrus aroma.

I kindly invite you to read about our reforestation program.

thanks for your support to this sacred wood.

Respectfully,
EcuadorianHands

Wonderful quality palo santo

This is the best quality of palo santo sticks that I have ever purchased. The smell is amazing, and it is also really good to know that they are harvested ethically.

Beautiful product

These are great sticks and smell lovely. The size is nice- not too big so it lights easily, and not too small so you get a good life out of a single stick. Will order again. Love the reforesting program!

not so good product, good service

For service and delivery I put 100 points! Many thanks to the company for pleasantly Palo Santo soap as a gift!
The sticks came quickly, in two bags inside a well-closed and fragrant package. Packages had a lot of holes and strong, pleasant smell. However, when burning, the sticks do not smell like a palo santo. 90 percent of the sticks did not satisfy me by smell. They were dry and had a pungent and bitter smell, like from burning pine in a camp fire.
I have been working with Palo Santo for a long time and I can say with confidence that this product does not meet the quality standard for me. Judging by the reviews, this is a rare phenomenon with this company, but it is a pity that I received an item that is not suitable for me.

Thank you for your review. We are surprised with it. We have checked with production and the kilogram of stick that you have received is fresh, production Feb 2019. Please keep in mind palosanto is a natural product and aroma may differe from batch to batch. Thanks for your support to palosanto. Have a great day, Peace!

Palo Santo Sticks

Pretty good palo santo sticks, but a few times there were a lot of so-called light-sticks, which didn't have enough oil in them to smell perfectly. But on the whole it's a very nice product.
