Bursera graveolens, known in Spanish as Palo Santo ("holy wood") is a tree that inhabits the coast of Ecuador. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh. It is widely used in folk medicine. Aged heartwood is rich in terpenes such as limonene and α-terpineol.
Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is an aromatic wood; Its smoke is used as a repellent to keep off mosquitoes, ants and other insects. It also cleans and helps to remove the bad energy from the home, keep away evil spirits, induces meditation and spiritual search. The scent of Palo Santo is extremely soothing and transmits a powerful energy.

Palo Santo sticks
I've always bought these palo santo sticks over the years, and my customers LOVE the scent! The last couple of batches however, several customers have come back to tell me that they're finding the past year's batches not as potent in scent as their previous ones. They say they prefer the previous batches a few years ago. I hope your current batches will be better, as we really do love 'em! :-)

Recently, Palo Santo cutting methods are confused with hatchets and machines. I want only a hatchet. Machines lose holiness.

Our goal is to protect the palosanto tree, and not to waste anything out of it (keep in mind we need a tree that dies by itself after 30 years, and then lays on the ground for 2-4 years prior we can use it). Machete cuts there are a lot of waste, a lot of labor accidents, cuts, injuries, etc.
Holiness is lost when we disrespect palo santo. All our efforts are devoted to offer you ecofriendly and sustainable produced palo santo, with the wonderful characteristic woodsy citrus aroma.
