I had never tried a Palo Santo essential oil before trying this product. I was unsure of the scent at first but once it settles on the skin the true aroma of Palo Santo comes through.

Great product love the smell. I've only used it for meditation so far by applying it on my temple philtrum area. Initially got this to replace my cologne but the smell doesn't last long when applied on skin. However it's still a great product!

Nice oil - Bad Bottle

Well we had to return ours - the bottles leaked in transit. 5***** oil. 2** Bottle..Use anything but this product bottle.

About Palo Santo oil

The process of producing oil will begin after the tree has been on the ground for some time. The oil will develop gradually in the trunk and the longer the tree remains on the ground, the higher the quality of essential oil that it will contain. As the wood matures, after the tree has died, chemical changes occur which make it a very powerful oil.

Palo Santo grows wildy in the forest. However, we are replanting palo santo trees that we will not get to process. This is our contribution to the future generations to come.

Through a distillation process by vapor steam (no chemicals) we obtain an essential oil which is used for Aromatherapy, massages and for manufacturing cosmetics, such as palo santo soap.

Properties of Monoterpene D-Limonene in Cancer Prevention: The characteristic aroma of Palo Santo comes from its natural monoterpenes. The properties of the solvent monoterpenes were used to chemically dissolve gallstones, the monoterpenes are also the focus of much research in the area of cancer prevention. Cancer prevention, inhibition and regression are the greatest powers of D-limonene (DL) that was shown to be chemopreventive against tumors: breast, liver, lungs, skin (UV-induced) and quemioterapeutica against the tumors: breast and pancreas. Palo Santo by their shape and natural components has enormous potential in preventing cancer without any contraindication.

Steam distillation

Each plant has its distinct perfume. The perfume and aromatic essences are the "soul" of the plant. The Essential Oil of Palo Santo comes from the extraction of the oily glands of the plant.

Using a specific distiller for essential oils; the dried wood is passed through a steam stream so the oily glands open up, allowing in this way that its content mixes with the steam; the same that enters through a cooling system which leads to the condensation of essential oil and the water to then separate naturally.

This type of distillation does not use any kind of chemical solvents, that is, the essential oil of Palo Santo is 100% natural. Distilling the dry wood of the Palo Santo with the method through the steam current, you get to get an essential oil of the yellow-gold color, that emanates an intense citrus smell; with the following active ingredients:

The true aroma of Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) only exists because a tree lived a full life, died naturally, and rested on the forest floor for 2 to 4 years. During that time, the heartwood slowly develops the limonene, α-terpineol, and aromatic resins that give authentic Palo Santo its scent. Wood cut from a living tree simply doesn't have it — no resin, no aroma, no magic.

So here's what that means for the wood in your hands: every stick comes from a tree that lived at least 35 years before it fell. Nothing was harvested early. Nothing was forced. The wait is the reason it works.

USES AND BENEFITS

Palo Santo oil has a pleasant woody citrus aroma with a slight mint scent. It can be used by people suffering from muscle pain, high levels of stress, depression, anxiety, cough, colds, respiratory infections, sleep disorders, nervous disorders, etc.

Uses of 100% pure Palo Santo in diffusers

With the diffusers, the therapeutic vapor of essential oils is obtained. Using an aroma diffuser is very simple. First we put a little water in our diffuser, then we put 3 to 5 drops of 100% pure Palo Santo essential oil, and we will let the steam surround our space.

By using Palo Santo oil in this way, you can counteract symptoms of flu, cough, allergies and reduce levels of stress and fatigue, since its pleasant aroma can cause relaxation in your body immediately.

In the bathroom – Relaxing shower with 100% pure Palo Santo oil

A hot bath scented with essential oils is a sure way to relieve sore muscles and joint pain, as well as reduce swelling and inflammation. Bubble baths saturated with palo santo are the most effective way, as the combination of hot water and aromas of essential oils offer double the healing power.

Relaxing massages with 33% pure Palo Santo oil

When it comes to massage, you should apply the 33% pure Palo Santo oil directly to the skin. Start massaging the area with pain in a circular way, once the massage is finished, you can bandage or cover the area with a red handkerchief to help circulation and reduce inflammation.

If you have a 100% pure essential oil you can also use it, just keep in mind that we must first dilute it with a carrier oil or neutral oil, since applying a 100% pure essential oil directly to our skin can cause irritation. .

There are many types of carrier oils to dilute essential oils before applying to the skin, such as olive oil, jojoba oil, hazelnut oil, grape oil, etc. All of these are excellent options to use in conjunction with essential oil. Once diluted, it is deeply massaged into problem areas for as long as needed.

Safety and Precautions of the palo santo oil
