Steam distillation

Each plant has its distinct perfume. The perfume and aromatic essences are the "soul" of the plant. The Essential Oil of Palo Santo comes from the extraction of the oily glands of the plant.

Using a specific distiller for essential oils; the dried wood is passed through a steam stream so the oily glands open up, allowing in this way that its content mixes with the steam; the same that enters through a cooling system which leads to the condensation of essential oil and the water to then separate naturally.

This type of distillation does not use any kind of chemical solvents, that is, the essential oil of Palo Santo is 100% natural. Distilling the dry wood of the Palo Santo with the method through the steam current, you get to get an essential oil of the yellow-gold color, that emanates an intense citrus smell; with the following active ingredients:

USES AND BENEFITS

If you have a 100% pure essential oil you can also use it, just keep in mind that we must first dilute it with a carrier oil or neutral oil, since applying a 100% pure essential oil directly to our skin can cause irritation. .

There are many types of carrier oils to dilute essential oils before applying to the skin, such as olive oil, jojoba oil, hazelnut oil, grape oil, etc. All of these are excellent options to use in conjunction with essential oil. Where does the raw material come from and how is it harvested?

It is extracted exclusively from naturally fallen trees (never cut down) in the dry forests of Manabí, within a Protected Natural Reserve declared by Ecuador's Ministry of Environment. The wood is left to mature on the forest floor for years before collection, following what the brand calls the "30+2 Rule": trees at least 30 years old that fell naturally and cured for an additional 2 years on the ground.

How is the oil extracted?

Through steam distillation, with no chemical solvents involved, preserving the oil's natural purity.

What are its main active compounds?

Gteat smelling oil

The shipping went quite fast considering it had to cross the atlantic ocean. The price was great but having to pay almost more 50% of its value upon reception kinda gave me a knot in the stomach. I really had to open that bottle and take a good sniff to be able to calm down. Smelling it directly in the bottle didn't reveal the full power of this oil the big surprise came after i applied it on my skin. I've tried quite a few brands of palo santo essential oil some of them give a stronger impression while smelling it directly but none of them can compare with this one after applied in the skin. I immediately dilluted it in a bit of grapeseed oil and rubbed it all over me. Pure jungle magic. I'm feeling much calmer now ^^
