Palo Santo Hydrosol 1L Pure Floral Water, Steam-Distilled | EcuadorianHands
Palo Santo Hydrosol — Product Description
What Is Palo Santo Hydrosol?
Palo Santo Hydrosol (also known as floral water or hydrolat) is the pure aromatic water produced during the steam distillation of Bursera graveolens wood. While the essential oil separates and is collected independently, the hydrosol retains the water-soluble compounds of the plant — delivering a gentler, subtler expression of Palo Santo that is ideal for direct skin application, formulation work, and energetic cleansing.
Unlike essential oils, hydrosols require no dilution and are ready to use as-is.
Why Palo Santo Hydrosol from Ecuador?
Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) grows naturally along Ecuador's Pacific coast. The trees we work with have died naturally in the forest — we never harvest living wood. Only after years of resting on the forest floor does the wood develop the aromatic resin that gives Palo Santo its distinctive character.
We are artisan distillers. Every batch is small, intentional, and traceable — from the forest floor in Manabí, Ecuador, to your formulation or shelf. We also actively reforest Palo Santo, planting trees we will not see harvested in our lifetime.
This is not a commodity product. It is a material with provenance.
