Our wood rests a minimum of 4 years on the forest floor after the tree dies naturally — the biological condition that allows the resin to concentrate and produce the deep, woody, citrus-sweet aroma that defines genuine Palo Santo. We never cut living trees. Every purchase directly funds our reforestation program: over 12,000 bursera graveolens trees planted since 2015.

What Makes This Palo Santo Different

The Palo Santo market has a significant authenticity problem. A large portion of what is sold online — including on major marketplaces — comes from chemically treated wood, immature trees, or species other than bursera graveolens. The result is a product that looks similar but burns differently, smells weaker, and carries none of the resin depth that makes authentic Palo Santo effective for aromatherapy and smudging.

Zero living trees cut: We only process wood from trees that died naturally. This is non-negotiable — it is both our ethical standard and the biological requirement for high-resin wood.
