Beach care education program Leave No Trace

By making the population an active part in the protection and sustainable development of the beaches, we are empowering them to manage their solid waste. We collaborate to have healthy natural recreational areas and to reduce collection costs to the municipality, for a job that they do not perform correctly. It's a win-win.

The Beach Protection Educational Program #LlévateTuBasura, led by Ecoplayas as part of the EcuadorianHands initiative, has been actively combating beach pollution since 2010.

Climate change is now, therefore, part of our social responsibility in Ecuadorianhands. We have an education project called Ecoplayas, for more than 10 years creating awareness in cleaning beaches in Manta Ecuador.

EcuadorianHands promotes the responsible use of Palo Santo, combining quality with sustainability. Through reforestation and support for local communities, it protects biodiversity and creates a positive environmental and social impact.

Protecting Palo Santo brings positive ripple effects from forest to ocean: 400 lbs less waste. Committed to preserving marine ecosystem. 

Santa Marianita beach in Manta - Ecuador, is the point where Ecoplayas focuses its energy to carry out an environmental education program, with the slogan #LlevateTuBasura where citizens are urged to be aware of taking their waste and not leaving it in the Beaches.
