As part of our #PaloSantoDoneRight Environmental Education Program, we join forces with the Municipality of Manta-Ecuador and its Manta Reverdece program.

This is how we lived the cleaning beach held on Friday, August 26 at Playa Murciélago-Manta, together with Mingas por el Mar and Jóvenes de Otro Planeta.

For the month of beach cleaning, we held a beach cleaning at Tarqui-Manta beach, where 42 volunteers and  city institutions were present.

This research consists of the multiplication of PaloSanto trees, that is, from a palo santo tree we will obtain many small trees.

By making the population an active part in the protection and sustainable development of the beaches, we are empowering them to manage their solid waste. We collaborate to have healthy natural recreational areas and to reduce collection costs to the municipality, for a job that they do not perform correctly. It's a win-win.

One year after the execution of the #LlévateTuBasura program, our environmental education initiative, Ecoplayas developed the fourth beach-cleaning 2022, an event that allows monitoring how the campaign has worked and if people have been receiving and replicating the message in a positive way.

We investigated the germination of the Palo Santo seed, this is a journey of knowledge that we decided to undertake in February 2021, and little by little we are obtaining results that we will share with you.

During our journey in protecting the dry forest ecosystem, we have managed to restore a primary forest, reforesting it with native species, which serves as a pilot project to replicate it in different dry areas in Ecuador.
