We are developing a new Program for the "Conservation and Sustainable Use of the Natural Heritage" of Palo Santo, where we will have the participation of GIZ (German Cooperation), UTM (Technical University of Manabí) and Ecuadoriahands.

Climate change is now, therefore, part of our social responsibility in Ecuadorianhands. We have an education project called Ecoplayas, for more than 10 years creating awareness in cleaning beaches in Manta Ecuador.

Each of our little trees results from a lot of work, from the collection of the seeds, the drying, then the germination, and their care for three years. Only there are already some little trees strong enough to be transplanted and survive.

Santa Marianita beach in Manta - Ecuador, is the point where Ecoplayas focuses its energy to carry out an environmental education program, with the slogan #LlevateTuBasura where citizens are urged to be aware of taking their waste and not leaving it in the Beaches.

We planted the amount of 200 native trees of the dry forests, including 50 palo santo trees. In a day full of great enthusiasm in which volunteers from other places also joined who had the same desire to make a small change in the world and give back to a little piece of land, the abundance of its trees.

We have signed a linkage agreement with the Technical University of Manabí that will allow 20 students of the Agronomy career to participate in the construction of a new nursery where new Palo Santo plants will germinate.

We had a beautiful day of reforestation on Saturday, December 18 2021, we shared the vibrancy of life together, giving back to Mother Nature a part of what she gives us every day. We reforested 500 palo santo trees.

We started the year participating in a new environmental remediation minga with Ecoplayas in its environmental education program #LlévateTuBasura at Punta La Barca beach, Santa Marianita - Ecuador.

During our journey in protecting the dry forest ecosystem, we have managed to restore a primary forest, reforesting it with native species, which serves as a pilot project to replicate it in different dry areas in Ecuador.

We investigated the germination of the Palo Santo seed, this is a journey of knowledge that we decided to undertake in February 2021, and little by little we are obtaining results that we will share with you.

By making the population an active part in the protection and sustainable development of the beaches, we are empowering them to manage their solid waste. We collaborate to have healthy natural recreational areas and to reduce collection costs to the municipality, for a job that they do not perform correctly. It's a win-win.
