Walking towards the 12000 reforested palo santo trees

In an emotional day of reforestation, we joined the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM) to plant 200 more Palo Santo trees, adding a total of 11,700 reforested trees since 2015.

This new initiative, which involved 47 Environmental Engineering students and teachers, is part of a continuous effort to preserve the Manabi dry forest and contribute to the development of sustainable communities.

The event began with a ritual in honor of the land, underscoring the spiritual and cultural connection with the environment. This practical experience allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real context, enriching their learning and their commitment to environmental conservation.

Our CEO planted his fourth tree accompanied by his son, symbolizing the legacy of preservation that is transmitted to new generations. Fabrizio's presence in the activity highlights the importance of involving children in environmental initiatives.

Reforestation at ULEAM not only aims to restore local ecosystems, but also to reach the goal of 12,000 trees planted, with 300 more planned for the coming months.

Our management model is the same one implemented in the BVP “ElArtesan EcuadorianHands protected natural reserve, a protected lung of Manabi; pilot plan that seeks to be replicated, highlighting the importance of protecting the dry forest, an environment at risk due to the indiscriminate logging that is practiced to develop crops such as corn, livestock, buildings, etc. (For example, the Pacific Refinery, where around 1000 hectares of trees were cut down, including Palo Santo, for the development of this “white elephant” that is abandoned.)

Is Palo Santo really endangered?

All this is possible thanks to the purchases of our products, which not only bring well-being to your body, but also allow you to take care of the dry forest, the beaches, educate and build healthy communities. With your support, we can continue doing our part to take care of our planet.

The collaboration between EcuadorianHands and ULEAM exemplifies how the union of efforts can generate a positive impact on environmental conservation and the construction of healthier and more conscious communities.

See you at our next reforestation where we will reach the goal of 12,000 trees planted! Big thanks to you! #PalosantoDoneRight
