We are developing a new Program for the "Conservation and Sustainable Use of the Natural Heritage" of Palo Santo, where we will have the participation of GIZ (German Cooperation), UTM (Technical University of Manabí) and Ecuadoriahands.

More than a decade ago, at the EcuadorianHands company, we began with the first empirical investigations regarding the properties and history of the Palo Santo tree (Bursera graveolens)

EcuadorianHands is a company that works in a sustainable and responsible way with the environment. We have been developing a program of constant reforestation and monitoring of our forests.

Dry forest, one of the most threatened ecosystems due to the ease of change associated with human activities. This ecosystem is home to a large number of species whose populations have suffered some kind of modification as a result of traditional unsustainable extraction practices.

Of the five carbon compartments that can be measured in a forest (live aerial biomass, underground biomass, debris or dead wood, litter, soil organic matter), the carbon stock in living aerial biomass and organic matter was determined. from the ground, because they are the compartments that store the most carbon in a forest.

We have been working with our program of reforestation and restoration of the dry forests of Manabí for almost 10 years.

We planted 500 PaloSanto trees in the city of Montecristi, as part of the campaign Plant a tree with us.This event was held on December 7, 2019 with the participation of Fabrizio Vera and the Boy Scout Cristi.
